My Halloween

So where to begin? There is a lot to talk about so I suppose I should simply begin at the beginning…

JT & Kira

I went to Ulta for my makeover with JT. I had a wonderful time and all the employees were wonderful and JT is a real master.

Then it was home to get the boys…

Unfortunately itโ€™s been raining here for two days, though we did get a few breaks in the weather.

We went to a local strip mall to do some trick or treating because our usual place had postponed trick or treating until the weekend because of the weather.

Then it was over to Bass Pro. They were passing out treats and it was indoors. As it happened, the temps had started to drop and it was getting pretty miserable.

I didnโ€™t know it but they had two of the OCC choppers in the store and we could get our picture taken with one…

It was pretty neat ๐Ÿ™‚

The fun part was I was out and about and no one said a word or gave me a second look. Of course it was dark, raining, and Halloween so I shouldnโ€™t take this as a pass. Things might be different on a Monday afternoon at the grocery storeโ€ฆ Still, it was wonderful evening and I felt wonderful.

  1. Hallowe’en a few years ago was the first time I’d set foot out in public “cross-dressed.” Of course, I wasn’t really cross-dressed, but people thought I was because it was Hallowe’en. Really, I was dressed as the real me and I felt like I was getting away with something.

    And yeah, I felt wonderful!

    It’s a beginning, Kira.

  2. Whoa Kira!
I think I see sparkles in your eyes ๐Ÿ™‚

JT did a great job. You look fantab! And – I ain’t just sayin’ that to say.

  3. Yes, as Rosy says…sparkles in your eyes….and that motor bike….(not my thing, motor bikes, nor cars either)….it looks like it was great fun!

  4. Really great pictures all around, Kira, but that second one stands out the most to me! You look wonderful and I’m glad you let yourself go to have a wonderful night out! Wandering in public doing the normal things you would do anyway is so liberating~ So happy for you! โค

    1. The weather was bad, it was cold and wet… but I had so much fun! I was relaxed and happy and I was out there, in no so kind store lighting and I didn’t care one lick. I was there, I was myself. It was so liberating.
One thing which helped was Bass Pro having “Family” restrooms so the one thing I did worry about wasn’t an issue. Of course I have made it a point to research local stores to see which have gender neutral facilities, but it’s still stressful.
Still, I smile every time I think about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I had another outfit picked for going out but the weather changed and what I wanted to wear was way too hot. I scrambled to put something together and this is what I came up with after about a half hour of looking… as I told A, I have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. You look amazing, Kira. I was so busy working for the past 3 months that I barely did any blogging.
Wow! Day by day things change slowly, but after a chunk of time things can look quite different.
Again, you look amazing, and your Gravatar is fabulous! ๐Ÿ™‚
