Beneath the Silent Stone (Poem)

Beneath the Silent Stone

By Kira A. Moore

Look upon this

Midnight gleaming,

When good men

Should be sleeping.

Shadows dance

And scrape,

Raising hairs

Upon the nape.

With silence

A physical weight,

Deaf and mute,

Become our fate.

Where souls

Are sold,

Lie down,

Embrace the cold.
