Only Half Of Americans Support Transgender Bathroom Access, Showing We Still Have A Long Way Yet To Go:

“In case you needed a reminder that the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage didn’t fix all the problems facing the LGBTQ community, a recent survey by the Pew Research Center has found that just half of Americans support transgender bathroom access according to gender identity, rather than biological sex. The finding comes as part of more general research into public attitudes toward the intersection of religious liberty and nondiscrimination, a topic which, between the rash of so-called ‘bathroom bills’ in the spring and the 2016 presidential election, has been debated frequently this year.”

One problem I perceive is that Republicans, the right-wing, their followers, and others who are susceptible fall into their false premise that trans means ‘pervert’ and ‘pederast’ – someone lurking in every public stall.

Never mind that there has been no criminal prosecution of any trans person, but tens of millions of prosecutions of heterosexual males for committing such indecent acts and crimes. Not to mention all those Catholic priests and Protestant pastors making headlines nearly every day for their crimes against children and adults.

Fear is their tool against our enlightenment and education.
